Missing Maps

This year another Mapathon of Missing Maps will be organized, together with the associations EGEA Utrecht, STORM, and VUGS. Missing Maps takes place on June 8 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and you will receive an educational SAC point for participation.

Missing Maps is a project in collaboration with the Red Cross, Doctors without Borders, and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT). The aim is to map vulnerable locations so that, in the event of a natural disaster, emergency services can respond faster and better and rescue people in need. In this way, humanitarian aid can be set up faster and more effectively.

You can contribute to this project! Experience with making maps is not necessary and you can do it on your own laptop (a mouse is useful). You can also order a pizza and drink from Domino’s, within Utrecht with discount code: 30200 and declare the costs to the organization!
